Boka / Kaap bursts with colour and character, capturing the iconic pastel houses and narrow streets of Cape Town’s historic Bo-Kaap neighbourhood. Grand Maghandlela’s vibrant palette and strong composition echo the rich cultural heritage of this area—once known as the Malay Quarter—home to generations of Cape Muslim families and freed slaves.
With its steep cobbled streets and vivid facades, Bo-Kaap stands as a living symbol of resistance, resilience, and identity. This painting celebrates both the beauty of the architecture and the community spirit that gives the neighbourhood its soul.
Printed on Innova Décor Watercolour Art 245gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, each print is produced in the UK to museum-quality standards.
Every purchase directly supports Grand Maghadelda’s mission to fund an art school in South Africa, empowering the next generation of young artists.
