Grand Maghandlela’s vivid colours and layered composition place the viewer right on the dusty street, under the shade of jacaranda blossoms. At the heart of the scene is Siyanda’s tuck shop, one of the small, informal stores that have long been a vital part of township economies—selling daily essentials with generosity, familiarity, and deep community roots.
