Emakhaya—a Zulu and Xhosa term meaning “the homelands” or “rural homes”—is a celebration of traditional life in the South African countryside. Grand Maghandlela’s vivid palette and expressive figures bring to life a scene of quiet harmony: thatched rondavels nestled in a mountainous landscape, where generations gather under blooming trees and sunlit skies. This work honours the rhythms of rural living, where community, nature, and heritage remain deeply entwined.
Printed on Innova Décor Watercolour Art 245gsm fine art paper using archival pigment inks, each print is produced in the UK to museum-quality standards.
Every purchase directly supports Grand Maghadelda’s mission to fund an art school in South Africa, empowering the next generation of young artists.
